The City of Dreams Mediterranean, the first multi-themed resort in Cyprus and the largest in Europe and the wider region, announces the start & nbsp; collaboration with the renowned tennis player Marco Pagdati and the creation of the Marcos Baghdatis Tennis Academy Academy . Aiming to become a reference point for sports in Cyprus, the Academy will be located in the City of Dreams Mediterranean and is expected to operate in the first half of 2023.
Utilizing the world-class sports facilities of the multidisciplinary resort, the Academy will contribute to the establishment of sports tourism as a key pillar of the tourism product of Cyprus. Under the guidance of Mr. Pagdati, the Academy will offer tennis lessons and training for people of all abilities and ages, from beginners to high level professionals, while introducing the sport of pickleball in the country. At the same time, the goal of the Academy is the promotion of physical education as well as the & nbsp; upgrading of the level of tennis in Cyprus, focusing on the athletic and academic development of the players. & Nbsp;
The Marcos > Baghdatis Tennis Academy It will have 12 state-of-the-art tennis courts, including a professional-sized court, which will be able to host international tournaments and other sporting events. In addition, inside the Academy there will be a shop that will provide equipment for tennis, cafeteria and locker rooms. Athletes and members of the Academy will have access to the rest of the facilities and services of the multidisciplinary resort, while tennis players and friends of the sport who will visit Cyprus for regional tournaments, will be able to enjoy the luxurious hospitality experiences of the City of Dreams Mediterranean. p>
The Academy's coaching staff, in addition to Markos Pagdati, is made up of experienced professionals, including Carolina Pagdati, who was ranked in the top 20 of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). The courses will be offered to people of all skills, aged six and over. Mr. Pagdatis, as director of the Academy, will also provide guidance and oversee planning and training, while developing specialized tennis programs.
