The Cyprus Stock Exchange closed on Wednesday with marginal gains. The General Index closed at 127.12 points, up 0.03%.
The FTSE/CySE 20 Index rose 0.04% to close at 77.13 points. The daily turnover amounted to €250,334.68.
Of the individual stock market indices, the Alternative Market recorded an increase in losses by 0.36% and the Investment Market by 0.77%, the Main Market recorded a decrease of 0.13 %, while the Hotels index remained unchanged.
The greatest investment interest was attracted by the securities of Hellenic Bank with €133,858.71 (no change – closing price €2.18), Bank of Cyprus with €57,619.25 (no change – closing price €2.93), Demetra with €21,861.16 (up 0.8% – closing price €0.63), Kythreotis Holdins with €19,200 (no change – closing price €0.33), and Vassiliko Cement Works with €9,006 (no change – closing price €3.00).
Of the stocks traded, four advanced, five declined and six remained unchanged. The number of transactions reached 37.
Furthermore, the Cyprus Stock Exchange announced that the securities of Hangji Global Ltd, which are traded on the NEW Market of the CSE, will be presented with the symbol (S) in the trading tables and price lists, from Friday, November 10, 2023, due to non-issue and publication of the Annual Financial Report for the year ended 6/30/2023, as required by article 140 of the Cyprus Securities and Stock Exchange Law .
As stated, this decision was taken based on Paragraph 2.2.6(A)(c), as well as the Policy Decision of the CSE Council (Circular No.: 01/2018, 02/2018, dated 1/23/2018 ).
It is also clarified that the Council will proceed with the removal of this marking (S) from the trading tables and price lists of the CSE, when it finds that the reasons that led to the presentation of the marking in the company's values , they will have disappeared.
In addition, the Cyprus Stock Exchange announced the continuation of the trading suspension of the securities of the company C.O. Cyprus Opportunity Energy Public Company Ltd (N.E.A. Agora), for an additional two (2) months, i.e. until January 15, 2024.
According to the announcement, this decision was made in accordance with Article 185 of the Law on Securities and the Cyprus Stock Exchange, as long as the reasons that require the continuation of the trading suspension of the securities of the said company, due to the non-issue and publication of its Semi-Annual Financial Report for the period ending on 30/06/2022, non-issue and publication of its Annual Financial Report for the year ending on 12/31/2022 and non-issue and publication of its Half-Yearly Financial Report for the period ending on 06/30/2023.
It is understood that if during the trading suspension this company complies with its above continuing obligations, then the trading suspension will be lifted.
