Where trade unions and parties demand the abolition of the actuarial reduction of 12% of pensions, in case of early retirement, DISY MP Marios Mavridis submitted a bill seeking an actuarial increase when someone chooses to retire after the age of 65 .
The draft law calls for the amendment of the law on Social Insurance. The DISY MP proposes that any person establishes the right to a statutory pension, but wishes to retire after the age of 65, to be able to receive his pension at any time he wishes, with an actuarial increase in the amount of the pension. That is, the actuarial increase of the pension will be according to the year that the beneficiary will choose to retire, instead of the procedure that is applied today. Under current law, the beneficiary is required to apply to Social Security three months before the date & nbsp; has established entitlement to a statutory pension.
