A delegation of the Ecologists 'Movement – Citizens' Cooperation had a meeting today with the candidate for President of the Republic of Cyprus, Andreas Mavrogiannis. According to an announcement by the Ecologists, during the meeting, the problems plaguing the civil society of Cyprus and issues such as the Cyprus issue, the economy, social issues and ecology were discussed “in a constructive way”. The two sides agreed on their desire to continue their meetings.
The delegation of the Movement consisted of the President of the Movement Mr. Charalambos Theopemptou, the First Vice President Mr. Kyriakos Tsimillis, the MPs Alexandra Attalidou and Stavros Papadouris and the Members of the Political Committee of the Movement Mr. George Perdalikis and Nikos Perdikis.
In his statements after the meeting, the President of the Movement of Ecologists – Citizens' Cooperation, Mr. Charalambos Theopemptou, thanked Mr. Mavrogiannis, describing the meeting between them as constructive. Mr. Theopemptou expressed his desire for the continuation of the meetings, in order to discuss the issue of the forthcoming Presidential Elections as soon as possible with the political office of the Movement and then with the Central Committee to take the party to the next steps.
For his part, the candidate for the Presidency of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Andreas Mavrogiannis, stressed that “The meeting with Mr. Theopemptos and the Political Committee was particularly useful and very important as issues related to the Cypriot society, the Cypriot, the economy and so on.
