In a written statement, the Mayor of Strovolos, Andreas Papacharalambous, states that the decision of the House of Representatives regarding the reorganization of the municipalities is fully respected, but the final regulations and choices that have been raised raise questions and will make many citizens think.

He stressed that it is difficult to understand why this most rational solution was finally abandoned and that he concludes that, instead of the more correct solutions, some personal expediencies or even partisan interests prevailed.

I find it difficult to understand why this most rational solution was eventually abandoned.
