The Head of Strategy and Implementation of the Smart City project of the Municipality of Nicosia, Nadia Lortzie, who participated in the contacts, asked questions about the applications and services presented, while, together with the Mayor of Nicosia, they presented a summary video of the Smart City project which is in full implementation at the moment.
He particularly referred to the holistic design of the project which includes, municipal fiber optic network, wireless broadband network and loRA as a communication protocol between the sensors (smart parking, smart lighting, smart waste management and environmental sensors) placed throughout the city information boards, traffic model, cameras for physical safety, etc. In addition, special mention was made of the central smart city platform that includes the project and to which all systems will be centrally connected, combined with the operation of the monitoring and control center of the entire project.
Mr. Giorkatzis congratulated the Mayor of Athens, Mr. Bakoyannis, for the commendable effort to modernize and beautify the capital, as well as for the anthropocentric approach to managing the challenges of the city.
