The “wind” of allegations of sexual abuse is growing, while the Greek MeToo movement is paving the way for voices to be heard, pain stories to be known, and a gradual end to the “omerta” imposed on victims. One after another, creepy cases are piling up problematically, proving that sexual violence affects an alarmingly high number of women. Another complaint is added to the long list of abuse cases. It comes from the night space while it concerns a well-known party organizer in Athens.
The alleged perpetrator, according to the complaint, organized a series of parties with techno music in Gazi and other areas of downtown Athens, even in κτί university buildings.
Writing about the traumatic experience she had with him, a woman recalls the psychological and physical violence she suffered.
She met him when she was still 15 years old, which informally gave the man the opportunity to manipulate her, initially creating a climate of trust with her, but then he introduced her to the world of substances and sex without consent.
The man accused by the young woman is 10 years older than her, with the result that the latter feels “leader” in the relationship from the beginning. In a relationship that proved disastrous for the woman as she was forced to become a drug addict and lose all sense of free will.
The gang rapes
The specific organizer of the parties is accused – as it appears from the testimony – even of gang rape since he and his friends organized targeted gatherings with many girls in which they did not leave room for denial.
“I learned of many abuses and gang rapes he has committed,” the complaint said.
Describing the chronicle of a sick relationship, the woman describes years after she met the man who was going to hurt her soul the following: .
The woman does not forget to mention the threats she has been receiving all these years in order not to reveal the use of cocaine that she saw happening in the company of the alleged perpetrator. “If something comes out, we will throw knives at you, even if you are a little girl,” he claims, telling him.
“It forced me to have sex with others”
“I was dazzled by the subcultures whenever it looked cool in my eyes. It took me seven years to figure out what kind of person I was next to. He was bullying me, forcing me to have sex with him and with others of his liking. “One night he immobilized me on the couch, spat on me and pressed me to open my legs”, the woman recalls, describing moments of horror while anger is caused by the fact – as she says – that both the perpetrator and his friends had ejaculated on her.
Referring to her drug adventure and entering the dark tunnel, she writes: “She has been giving me drugs since I was 16 years old. He often told me how harmless all this is. I was an uncontrollable minor who had access to quantities because of him. He had used me to carry small quantities. When after years I wanted to ask for help for my addiction I was mocked. The abuse was not just psychological. “Many times he got to the point of becoming physically intrusive.”
“After constant psychological and sexual harassment, I had reached the point where whenever someone came to touch me I could not cope,” he added, referring to the overall trauma he suffered from the man's abusive behavior.
This is another complaint that throws a punch in the stomach amid an escalation of cases of sexual abuse.
