A statement states that the Metropolitan of Tamasos and Orini Isaias Kykkotis attended a gathering of friends and supporters of his candidacy, on Wednesday night held at the House of Letters and Arts in Larnaca.

He also mentioned that “those who do it win” and wondered “why shouldn't the Church also win and show its real, loving face to the world”
At the end of his speech, Metropolitan Isaiah “referred to the strength of the church, its financial and technical capabilities, emphasizing that the church finally needs youth to be able to create”.
