Ways to further develop Cyprus-Austria economic relations were discussed on Friday by the Minister of Finance Makis Keraynos in a meeting with the Ambassador of Austria to Cyprus Dorothea Auer.

As reported, the Austrian Ambassador congratulated the Minister on assuming his duties and assured him of the continuation of the economic cooperation between Cyprus and Austria, both within the European Union and on a bilateral level.
It is added that Mrs. Auer informed the Minister about the progress of the implementation of the government digital services upgrade project implemented by the Austrian government, while she also made a brief presentation of Austria's candidacy to host the European Authority against Money Laundering from Illegal Activities.
For his part, the Minister made a brief presentation of the state of the Cypriot economy and emphasized the commitment of the new Government to implement a economic policy in the context of strict fiscal discipline and financial stability, while he thanked Austria for the help and support it provides in upgrading the digital systems of Cyprus, especially in the current situation, the announcement concludes.
