As of today, Mine Atli is the new president of the C/C Party of the Democratic Republic, after she was elected at the extraordinary electoral congress that took place in occupied Nicosia.
As broadcast by t/k According to the media, the rival Doga Yalcin withdrew his candidacy and so Atli was elected without the election process.
In her speech she emphasized the federal solution and the need for peace on the island. He succeeded against the Turkish “embassy” in the occupied territories, which in the “presidential elections” was turned, as he said, into a headquarters and spoke about people who were even threatened with their jobs. He noted that while reckless interventions were made in the will of the Turkish Cypriots, a puppet is on the negotiating table today.
“Peace, solution, federation. A homeland, a country. We are not going to abandon these words, there can be no political way that will take us away from this goal. “Our ultimate goal is a bi-zonal, bi-communal, federal Cyprus”, noted Mine Atli.
