According to an announcement by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, taking into account the special conditions of the current school year, which have been created due to the new coronavirus and the measures that have necessarily been taken, by the end of March 2020, schools will inform , by phone, the parents / guardians for the cases of children whose application for suspension of attendance at the Primary School was approved or rejected and for the cases of children who will remain in the same class.
In addition, by April 15, 2020, the District Education Offices will inform parents / guardians, by telephone and in writing, of their request for their child transfer, and then, the schools will contact, by telephone, all of their parents / guardians. students / three of them, in order to confirm the enrollment of children in the specific school.
Regarding the confirmation of registrations for the Optional All-Day Schools, this will take place in September 2020, based on instructions of a relevant circular that will be posted before the start of the new school year.
The goal of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth is, through the telephone confirmation of the registrations, to ensure the correct staffing and operation of the schools for the school year 2020-2021.
