The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works, the Ministry of Labor and Social Insurance and the Ministry of Social Welfare, within the framework of the Social Policy included in the Notification of Fees of the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, inform about following:
- Social Security Services Social Card Holders:
They benefit from a 50% discount on the fares of Public Passenger Transport on Regular Bus Lines, provided that they secure the personalized smart card (MotionBusCard). Relevant information for Social Security Services social card holders is available at http://www.mlsi.gov.cy/mlsi/sid/sidv2.nsf.
- Beneficiaries of the Low Retirement Benefit:
They benefit from free public Passenger Transportation on Regular Bus Lines, provided they secure a personalized smart card (MotionBusCard). Relevant information for the beneficiaries of the Low Retirement Allowance is available on the website of the Welfare Benefit Management Service at the link: http://www.wbas.dmsw.gov.cy/dmsw/.
At the request of the Minister of Labor and Social Insurance Ms. Zeta Aimilianidou and the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare Ms. Anastasia Anthousis within the framework of their responsibilities, with instructions from the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Mr. Giannis Karousou, until June 30, 2022 , the cost of € 5 for the issue of MotionBusCard will not be paid by the beneficiaries listed above.
The MotionBusCard is issued to the above groups of citizens with the necessary presentation at the points of sale/issuance of identity card or passport for identification purposes, as well as the following:
- Card of the Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Security or Letter of Approval for the Low Retirement Allowance from the Welfare Benefit Management Service, for the recipients of the Low Retirement Allowance, or
- Social card or certificate of the beneficiary of the social card of the Social Insurance Services for Social Security Services Social Security card holders.
