The NBA world was in mourning after the Hall of Fame forward passed away Chet 'The Jet' Walker at 84.

Chet 'The Jet' Walker passed away at the age of 84 on Saturday night (8/6), plunging the NBA into mourning. but also the global basketball community.

Walker was a member of the 2012 class of the Hall of Fame, as well as the Bulls' first “Ring of honor”, together with – among others – Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman, Phil Jackson, Tony Kukoc and Jerry Krause.

His great career

Walker was selected No. 15 in the 1962 NBA Draft by the Syracuse Nationals, who a year later moved to Philadelphia and became the team now known as the Philadelphia 76ers. He played in the NBA from 1962 to 1975, with the Sixers trading him to the Bulls in 1969.

Walker was part of the Sixers team that broke the Celtics' dominance in 1967 when they won the championship, breaking a streak of 8 titles of the “Celts”, having as teammates Wilt Chamberlain, Hal Greer and Billy Cunningham.
