Police investigators in the case of the murder of a 35-year-old Ukrainian woman, whose lifeless body was found in an apartment in the Germasogeia area, seem to be facing a premeditated crime. The investigations to identify the 25-year-old suspect are continuing.
In statements, the head of the TAE Limassol, Lefteris Kyriakou, said that "just before one in the morning, an apartment manager, in the Germasogeia area, together with another person , they searched for a 35-year-old woman who had been living in the apartment complex for the last few days.
After she did not respond, he added, the administrator entered the apartment and found the 35-year-old woman, who had been in Cyprus since 2022, dead on the ground. The Police were immediately informed, members of which cordoned off the scene, including the Assistant Chief of Police and the Assistant Director of Limassol.

"From the on-site examinations, it became clear that it was a criminal act, since the victim was found tied with plastic cable cords, as well as other evidence, found at the scene, immediately demonstrated that it was a criminal act," added Mr. Kyriakou.
An autopsy was performed by the medical examiners Angeliki Papetta and Orthodoxos Orthodoxou, who found that the crime was committed 4 to 7 hours before the autopsy, while the scheduled autopsy on the body will be performed at 3:30 p.m., at the mortuary of the Nicosia General Hospital.

As for how the Police were led to the 25-year-old, the head of the TAE Limassol stated that this was done on the basis of examinations, statements and evidence found at the scene, with the information stating that specific elements were found on the victim's mobile phone.
