US Paid Code Sharing Postponed Until End of June

Sounds like a long time coming, but for now it's only implemented in Canada, New Zealand and Spain – and it looks like it's going to be delayed a little longer. The reason behind Netflix's code-sharing phaseout, which has been pushed back to the second quarter of 2023.
The codeshare fee should have already been implemented in the US (perhaps Netflix's biggest market) and three other markets by the end of March. Now, the company has announced in a letter to its shareholders that the paid code-sharing service will be going back by the end of June.
The reason is the “negative reaction” (the exact term used was “cancel reaction”) that there has been to this service in the countries where it is already implemented, such as Canada, New Zealand and Spain. For example, in Canada for each additional member sharing the same account the fee is 7.99 Canadian dollars (ie 5.44 euros).
