Requested an emergency session of the “security council” in Ersin Tatar-held areas
As soon as possible emergency session of the “security council” in the occupied territories, requested the president of the KA and “transport minister”, Erhan Arikliby Ersin Tatar, in order to evaluate their next steps and proceed, as he mentioned, with arrests of Greek Cypriots who in any way own Turkish Cypriot properties in the “south”.
According to the GTP, Kypris today presents the said positions of Mr. Arikli that he made on social media. “In recent days, the illegal behavior of the Greek Cypriot side towards Turksor other nationals who own Greek Cypriot properties in the north, has reached an unacceptable point“, he claimed.
He also claimed that the aim of the E/Kis to “ensure the formation of public opinion in the north so that the president can sit at the table”, writing that already, due to the arrests, some in the occupied territories began to say that “if you avoid the table of course these things will happen” “However, as there are Greek Cypriots who left properties in the north, there are also Turks who left properties in the south. Moreover, many of these Turks have not had access to their properties since 1963. The Greeks have been using Turkish properties since 1963. As everyone knows, the property issue has been the main issue in the Cyprus negotiations for almost half a century. The ECtHR has indicated how the issue will be resolved with the Dimopoulos decision,” he argued.
Mr. Arikli argued that as the Turkish side, “based on the principle of transnational reciprocity, it is imperative that we take similar measures, including arrests, for Greek Cypriots who are in any way in possession of Turkish properties in the south. We are obliged to take the necessary legal measures to arrest these Greek Cypriots in the north or in Turkey”.
Besides, the president of the union of Turkish building contractors, Jaffer Gurdjieffer warned that in the event that Turkish Cypriots are arrested for the usurpation of property in the occupied territories, “this could be a cause of war”. At the same time addressing Ersin Tatar, he asked for the “international negotiations on the Cyprus issue” to begin as soon as possible.
Mr. Gürzhafer was speaking on a Cypriot website broadcast where he was asked to comment on the list of owners and investors of construction companies in the occupied territories that was made public yesterday by the Environmental Movement. He said the contractors' union has set up an independent team to monitor arrests for arbitrary constructions on Greek Cypriot properties in the “north”, noting, however, that there is no “state apparatus” closely monitoring developments.
< p>He also said that the “immovable property commission” created through the ECHR was not adequately utilised. He also called on the Turkish leader to immediately take diplomatic initiatives, otherwise, as he said, it will be difficult to overcome the current crisis.
Mr. Gurdjieff argued that the arrests on the Y/K side are not correct saying that the Y/K pressures will continue to increase and this situation will lead to political and economic repercussions. He also announced that in September they are planning an action in the United Kingdom and are thinking of moving this action to Brussels as well. He also said that “retired diplomats” are in constant contact with EU officials and noted that economic stability cannot be achieved until the Cyprus issue reaches a final solution.
Meanwhile, the “labour minister”, Sadik Gardijanoglu had a meeting with the president and board members of the Netherlands branch of the “Association of Independent Industrialists and Entrepreneurs” (MÜSIAD), Ali Koklou, and stated that their door is open to all who want to invest in this “country “.
He expressed readiness to provide any kind of contribution and support to any investor who will come to the pseudo-state.
