Organizations active in the field of catering, weddings and events and entertainment proceeded to establish the Federation of Associations of Owners of Catering Centers for Entertainment and Events (OSIKEDE). According to an OEB announcement, the decision was taken for better coordination, their broader and dynamic representation in the decision-making centers. At the same time, the organizations will maintain their organizational autonomy. These are the organizations:
– OSIKA (FEDERATION OF RECREATION CENTER OWNERS' ASSOCIATIONS
– PA.SY.KE.D (PAN-CYPPR ASSOCIATION OF ENTERTAINMENT CENTERS)
– PA .SY.EP.EK (CYPRIOT ASSOCIATION OF PROFESSIONAL EVENTS)
– CALPA (CYPRIOT THEME PARKS ASSOCIATION)
– ASPIDA (LEMESOS RESTAURANT-RECREATION PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION)
The Board of Directors is made up of the Presidents of the Contracting Organizations: Neophytos Thrasyvoulos (OSIKA), Nikos Vassiliou (PASYKED), Konstantinos Mosaikos (PASYEPEK), Josef Petrou (CALPA) and Kleanthis Koilaniotis (ASPIDA).
The OSIKED thus representing the vast majority of the 3,500 licensed businesses registered in the register of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism. These businesses employ around 10,000 workers, contribute 8% of the GDP and are an integral part of the tourism product of Cyprus.
According to the announcement, OSIKEDE is given the opportunity for smaller, specialized business organizations to participate as well. of the wider industry. OSIKEDE and the organizations that surround it are members of the Federation of Employers and Industrialists (OEB).
