Christiana Agroti took over as the new General Manager of General Insurance from 1/12/2023. Having joined the staff of Bank of Cyprus in September 2011, she was, among others, Director of Consumer Banking Products, head of business transformation, Director of the Office of the Deputy CEO and Senior Strategy and Corporate Finance Officer.
Christiana Agroti refers to the Executive Chairman of Bank of Cyprus Insurance Companies and Chairman of the Board of General Insurance, Loui Pohani.
On the occasion of assuming her duties, Christiana stated:
“Assuming the duties of General Manager in General Insurance is an honor and a great responsibility for me. I am fully aware of the responsibility I am assuming, as it is reflected in the 73-year course of the organization since 1951 when it was founded by the Bank of Cyprus. My aim and purpose is to maintain the leading role of the organization in the insurance industry with a decisive contribution to the development of insurance awareness. As a leading Company in the General Industry, we will continue to move dynamically into the modern era and its challenges. With vigilance, flexibility and adaptability we will deal with the daily needs of our customers with a human-centered approach utilizing technology and accelerating the digital transition of the Company”.
Christiana holds a BSc in Economics, Politics & International Studies from the University of Warwick and MSc in European Social Policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
