An additional 114 parking spaces were acquired by Nicosia within the walls.

This is the parking lot at the junction of Trikoupi – Liasidou streets with 54 parking spaces of which 5 for the disabled, a 2nd in Trikoupi (west) with 15 parking spaces and 2 for the disabled as well as one east of Trikoupi with 9 parking spaces.
The parking lot on Tempon Street was also expanded with 36 parking spaces, of which 3 for the disabled.
The creation of new parking lots in the historic center of Nicosia, according to an announcement by the municipality of the capital, “is part of the general effort to revitalize and revive it within the city walls and aims to increase traffic in the area and facilitate visitors and residents of the old city “.
Welcoming the inauguration, which took place inside the parking lot at the junction of Trikoupi – Liasidou streets, the Mayor of Nicosia, Konstantinos Giorkatzis, said that “these projects, for the Municipality of Nicosia, are of major importance” for a number of reasons.
They work in collaboration with all the other projects that were done, are in progress and are planned in the city within the walls with the ultimate goal of revitalizing and reviving the area, they come to fill the gap of lack of parking in the center, which creates a problem for both visitors as well as for the residents of the area.
