Already started to develop recipes based on zivania, wine from Cyprus wineries and brandy sour
A… Nicosia cocktail comes to strengthen the menu of the capital's bars. The ETAP Officer of Nicosia, Sotiris Christoforou, spoke about this initiative to “SPORT FM 95.0” and the insert “operates”, pointing out that Nicosia has a lot to show in terms of culinary tourism.
“This year we aim to focus on products that can highlight the city's gastronomy. One of them is the beverage as Nicosia has a lot to show in this sector”, he noted.
Mr. Christoforou clarified that the best recipe for the drink, which will primarily consist of Cypriot raw materials , will be selected through a competition. The aim, he added, is for the drink to be on the menu of all the restaurants in the capital. “We will initially focus on the historical center which is the tourist area of Nicosia, without ruling out any other area”.
When asked what will be the basis of the drink he said that they have already started to develop various recipes based on zivania , wine from the wineries of Cyprus and brandy sour.
According to the plans, a campaign will be run to promote this specific recipe which will be presented at events, festivals and catering places in the capital and abroad at various exhibitions tourism in which ETAP participates.
