The name of the deputy president of DIKO Christiana Erotokritou is now officially on the negotiating table for the presidential elections in the discussions between Nikolas Papadopoulos and Stefanos Stefanou, with several prospects for a positive outcome for the cooperation. As “F” revealed last Sunday, the president of DIKO seems to have a counter-proposal to the preliminary rejection of his own name by AKEL. This proposal concerns Christiana Erotokritou, whose name we possessed, but for tactical reasons we did not reveal. According to our secure information, the vice president of DIKO is ready if she is called to enter the battle, in the context of a cooperation between the two parties for a change of government and according to the same information, she has already been fired upon. In fact, sources from the DIKO environment noted that if there is finally an agreement for Christiana Erotokritou, it will be a clear and honest proposal to society for change.
From AKEL's point of view, so far there is no reaction to the possibility of discussing the name of the deputy president of DIKO as a possible candidate. Nikolas Papadopoulos, on the other hand, seems ready to make the move in order to send the message that he will do everything in his power to succeed in the cooperation of the two opposition parties, which is the primary goal of DIKO. Secondly, both Nikolas Papadopoulos himself and other members of the party's leading pyramid, despite the fact that there is a trend in DIKO that favors Nikos Christodoulidis, do not want to reach a choice that does not represent the change that is required. . The scenario of support of the former Foreign Minister as an alternative option in case of failure of the cooperation remains of course on the table.
The issue of the presidential elections will be discussed today at the Secretariat at DIKO, during which Nikolas Papadopoulos is expected to inform members for all developments, including the meeting he had with Marinos Sizopoulos last week.
