New storms in GeSY brought the “compliance” letter sent last week by the Health Insurance Organization to private hospitals, inviting them to sign to date that they have implemented the ban on the practice of health services by doctors who are outside the NHS in hospitals that are contracted to the System, while the legal dispute with a private doctor is ongoing.
In his statements to the Cyprus Times, the president of PASIN, Marios Karaiskakis, states that regarding the letter received by each private hospital from the OAU, for them this declaration of “compliance” is something that is imposed and for this causes them great concern, especially since there is a certain hearing on the issue of doctors outside the NHS for next Thursday.
It should be recalled that as revealed in a previous report by the Cyprus Times, the legal advisers of the OAU will file on November 24 an objection to the court to the request of a private doctor to suspend the ban on the practice of health services by doctors who are outside the National Health Service in hospitals that are contracted with the System.
