Omonia and Paphos remained in a 0-0 draw in the match of the 21st game at GSP. Both teams tried for the three points, with Paphos having more clear opportunities to score, but Fabiano stepped up when needed and kept the scoreless. On the other hand, Omonia had a moderate presence and did not create clear opportunities to score a goal and thus both teams got one point each.
First half
In the first half with “good morning” Paphos entered strongly and threatened with a great opportunity. As soon as in the 2nd minute, Zairo passed to Tankovic, inside the area he dug the ball over Fabiano, Yuste chased the ball before crossing the line, while also hitting the post for the Omonia keeper to collect. From then on, Ferrera's team tried to respond, also creating some conditions without managing to threaten with any big chance.
The “greens” until the 25th minute kept more of the ball and tried to create opportunities, but Paphos defended very well and largely limited Omonia's offensive actions. On the other hand, Berg's team missed another huge opportunity in the 28th minute, after a mistake made by Lesiacs, Herstad took the ball, passed it to Zairo and he sent the ball out from a favorable position.
From then on, Omonia was the team that kept the ball in the stadium and tried to threaten the home team of Paphos. In the 39th minute, the home team protested for a penalty, as they asked for a hand on Bezus' attempt to turn inside the area, nothing from the ref, then Kakoullis took the shot, the ball went over the posts. While in the 44th minute, Bruno failed to beat Ivusic from close range.
On the other hand, Berg's team was quite good in the defensive part, limited the “clover” and tried to hit on the counterattacks, but did not she didn't manage to score either. So the first half ended in a 0-0 draw.
Second half
In the second half, in the first ten minutes, Omonia was the team that had more possession and threatened with two long shots of Ansarifard and Bezos, but none of them reached the goal.
After 55', Paphos started to balance the game and in 57' missed a huge opportunity for 1-0 with Zairo making the shot inside the area, but Fabiano made a huge save keeping the scoreless. In the 64th minute, Paphos threatened again with a shot by Kane, the ball went over the crossbar.
Omonia may have kept the ball in the field, but they struggled to create any big chances, with Paphos defending well and being the team that threatened the most while having clear opportunities to score. In the 71st minute, Berg's team missed another chance, with Zuninho coming in from the left inside the area, to take the shot, but Fabiano made a huge save.
After the 75th minute, the pace of the match fell, with both teams being careful not to concede a goal, while at the same time not having a clear mind to finish a phase properly to score.
In the last minutes of the match, both tried to threaten and reach a goal, with Omonia circling more outside the Paphos area, but failed to score, as did Berg's team. So the match ended 0-0.
With this draw, Omonia stayed in 6th place and 35 points, while Paphos stayed in 3rd place, rising to 45 points.
