The World Health Organization (WHO) is in contact with the Norwegian authorities and is trying to obtain more information on the deaths of 23 elderly people in the country after they were vaccinated with the coronavirus vaccine, its official spokesman told TASS. WHERE Tariq Jazarevic.
He clarified that the advisory committee of the WHO in charge of vaccine safety is also dealing with this issue and as soon as it has “full understanding of these facts” it will inform the public, said Jazarevic.
At the same time, he pointed out that the elderly are vaccinated as a priority because they are more at risk of becoming seriously ill and ending up with the coronavirus.
However, vaccination “does not reduce the risk of death from other causes.” “Deaths from other causes continue after vaccination, without being due to it,” Jazarevic said.
The WHO spokesman said that “more than 30 million people have been vaccinated against the coronavirus to date”.
