The Association of Holders of Securities Banks in a letter asks the representatives of the government in the committee of the National Solidarity Fund to stop constantly restoring, as they say, the socio-economic criteria, since these are not included in the relevant law. They were in the original bill and were rejected by the plenary of the Parliament.
According to a letter sent to the Chairman and members of the committee and which was made public, “there should be no correlation of Income Tax with our compensation”, adding that the application will state our tax ID and the Tax will has the right to investigate afterwards any suspicious transactions, if any “.
“They have to realize that our financial situation and our income, both for us and our family, have nothing to do with the issue of our compensation. “Our savings have been stolen from us and we ask for them to be returned to us, regardless of whether we are hungry or prosperous”, the Association typically states.
The Association also states that no reference should be made to cases that have been tried or pending and that exceptions are cases that have been settled out of court or in court, in which case the amount collected will be deducted from the compensation by the Fund. The same will apply to future court decisions.
“Applications for participation in the Fund should be simplified on the basis of the suggestions we have submitted to the Commission,” the statement concludes.
