Two new deaths from COVID-19 and 703 new cases were announced in the occupied territories on Thursday.
According to an announcement by the “Ministry of Health”, 16,465 new tests were performed in the occupied areas in the last 24 hours.
Of the new cases, 313 were detected in occupied Nicosia, 123 in occupied Kyrenia, 166 in occupied Famagusta, 29 in occupied Trikomo, 46 in occupied Morphou and 26 in occupied Lefka.
The total number of cases in the occupied areas is 53,026. Also, 167 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of the pandemic.
