1. Valencia, Spain
The aesthetically brilliant port city of southeastern Spain is home to fantastic art museums, contemporary galleries and dazzling architecture. Explore the stark white buildings in the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences, including the unusual Palau de les Arts opera house, and wander the modernist El Cabanyal barrio, with its cobbled facades.
One of the best hotels located in the city is the Hotel Palacio Vallier. Which can boast of everything: the best location, in the heart of the old town, history, dating back to the Romans, stunning interior design and 31 charming rooms & suites.
The hotel in question has a stylish rooftop bar, La Terraza, and a great restaurant, La Perfumería. It should be noted that Hotel Palacio Vallier is part of a small Valencian group, MYR Hotels, of which Hotel Palacio Vallier is their flagship, and it is understood that it really defines what a luxury boutique hotel is.
Israel is a hugely popular spot for tourism, as its historic sites and bustling Tel Aviv remain a huge draw. October, when the temperature drops, is the best time to walk around the Roman ruins of Masada National Park and explore Nazareth, known as the birthplace of Jesus.
Also mention that October is a good time to enjoy Tel Aviv's beaches and nightlife.
One of the most beautiful and luxurious hotels one can stay at is the luxurious Six Senses Hotel which features villas built and inspired by local rocks, with many furnishings sourced from a collaboration with artisans from the local community.
3. Timisoara, Romania
This under-the-radar city, with its large public squares, lush gardens and restored art nouveau architecture painted in pastels, makes for an attractive city break far removed from the towers other Romanian cities are known for. Timisoara was Romania's “first free city”, the seat of the country's 1989 revolution to overthrow the communist dictatorship (see the history at the 1989 Revolution Museum). Its independent spark lives on in live music venues, from intimate jazz bars to grand opera.
Tresor Le Palais Hotel is one of the only 5-star hotels in the country. The sophistication of the 31 accommodation spaces and the professionalism of the staff mark this hotel as a unique destination for the country's tourists.
It's almost always a good time to visit New York – at Christmas, you've got the snow and the ubiquitous holiday decorations. In the spring, you have Central Park's cherry blossom. In the summer, you have the long evenings with the good heat and then the autumn which brings a beautiful scenery to the city making it almost orange. This year, you can visit this city for Halloween by also watching the annual Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade in Manhattan.
Nothing says an iconic stay in New York like a night at the Lotte New York Palace. One of the most storied hotels in the area, a night of luxury at this renovated Madison Ave gem is preferable if you can swing it.
