The first Memorandum of Cooperation on issues of Employment and Entrepreneurship was co-signed by the Mayor of Nicosia and President of the Multipurpose Center, Konstantinos Giorkatzis, and the President of the Federation of Employers and Industrialists of Cyprus, Antonios Antoniou, sealing the intention of cooperation, in the context of the operation of the newly established “Information Center”. and Training for Employment and Entrepreneurship– KEEAED».
As mentioned in the announcement of the Municipality of Nicosia, the Center is the first organized effort by a local government body in Cyprus to provide comprehensive counseling and training to vulnerable social groups, to ensure equal opportunities for everyone in the labor market sector.
According to the Municipality of Nicosia, involved officials of the Municipality of Nicosia and OEB under the leadership of the two organizations discussed the needs of society, as well as exchanged the first ideas and proposals for the implementation of joint actions, in the context of the cooperation that was sealed with the signature of Mnemoniou.
The Municipality of Nicosia states in the announcement that OEB became the first body to open the circle of collaborators of the newly established Center, in an effort to create a wider network with the aim of KEEAED beneficiaries obtaining more employment opportunities and business activity.
The project is co-financed by Europe EU Regional Development Fund and from National Resources, under Investment Priority 9b, within the Operational Program Competitiveness and Sustainable Development 2014 – 202.
