The incidents continued outside the stadium at the Tsirio stadium on Sunday evening.

According to the deputy representative of ADE Limassol, Marino Vassiliou, after the end of the match there were incidents outside from the stadium, with fans of both teams throwing objects at members of the Police.

«When the fans of both teams arrived at the stadium, they lit torches, shouted slogans but there was nothing until that moment time. A group of APOEL fans were late in coming to the stadium and tried to force their way into the stadium. They were pushed back by some anti-tank platoons. At 20'-22' the match was interrupted because a number of fans entered the stadium, in the southern part of Tsireio, where they clashed with each other, he noted.

He also added that, immediately, in consultation with the security officer, anti-hooligan squads were deployed where they intervened. Three arrests were made, two Apollo fans and one APOEL fan. A 23-year-old, a minor 17-year-old Apollo fans and a 25-year-old APOEL fan. 

The 25-year-old APOEL fan, after being involved in the incidents, was injured and taken to a clinic for examinations, where it was found that he has a fracture rinos, has abrasions and ecchymoses and was detained for hospitalization.

In closing, he said that an investigative team has been set up and closed circuits will be evaluated and possibly other arrests will be made.
