Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay arrived in the occupied territories at noon, almost a week after Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoλουlu paid a visit to the pseudo-state.
According to reports from the occupied territories, Mr. Oktay is accompanied by Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Antil Karaismailoglu, Turkish Presidency Communications Chief Fahrettin Altun and Digital Transformation Office Chief Ali Taha Koc.
The meeting of the Turkish Vice President with the Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar, is currently underway and will be followed later by the meeting with the “president” of the “parliament”, Oder Senaroglu.
It has been announced that protocol issues between Turkey and the pseudo-state will be discussed during the visit. A “memorandum of cooperation” for e-government in the pseudo-state and a “protocol” for “investments in highways” are expected to be signed.
Tomorrow, Mr. Oktay will meet with the “Prime Minister”, Ersan Saner, while he will also visit the set of “Cyprus Once Upon a Time”, which is shown on Turkish state television and is being filmed in occupied Famagusta.
