An outbreak of viral infections, which affect children more, resulting in a continuous increase in hospitalizations in pediatric departments, is recorded during the winter season, according to the State Health Services Organization, which, however, states that it is on constant alert, for the best dealing with all incidents, providing care to all children without exception.
In today's announcement, OKYpY states that it has five Pediatric Clinics throughout Cyprus, which are staffed by more than 70 Paediatricians, undertake most inpatient hospitalizations throughout Cyprus and deal with even the most complex and difficult cases.
According to OKYPY “the network of Hospitals, which the Organization has, allows it to manage the beds and staff according to the needs of the population and the conditions in each period”, adding that “what always comes first for the Organization is to treat all cases without exception that require hospitalization, providing quality health services”.
“The Pediatric Clinics of OKYPY treat young patients in a friendly and safe environment, which recognizes the needs of both themselves and their families. The children come to the department on the initiative of their parents or after being referred by the pediatrician and after consultation with the pediatrician on duty that day at the Hospital”, he adds.
To limit the spread of viral infections , the Organization calls on adults and children to be careful and observe personal hygiene measures.
