The Cypriot coach has a good tradition against Larnaca
Omonia has completed its preparation (see here) ahead of tomorrow's (21/4, 19:00) match against AEK at the “Arena”. The “greens” may be indifferent in terms of points but the history of the team forces the players to play in every game to win and be competitive.
Luis Oltra's team is much more motivated. as he is still in contention to win the championship. This fact makes the game even more difficult for the football players of the “trefoil” who, willingly or not, will have their attention turned to the cup replay with Paphos.
The “green” coach has a good tradition against AEK with a record of 7 wins, five draws and five losses in 17 games. Sofronis Augusti faced the Larnakas in his passage from the bench of Apollon (12), APOEL (4) and Karmiotissa (1).
Of course, history never guarantees success. In order for the Cypriot coach to get another win over AEK, his team will have to be serious and focused for the entire 90 minutes. Larnaca at home are very strong and even when they are in a period of deformation they hardly lose.
It is worth noting that it will also be the first time that Sofronis Augusti will face AEK while on the Omonia bench. So it will be interesting to see if the 46-year-old continues the positive streak against the “yellow-green” and if he will hurt his former team for the 8th time.
