The crucial issue of the organization charts / structures of the public hospitals is put on the table on Friday in a meeting that will take place between the Organization of State Health Services (OKYPY) and the guilds of doctors and nurses, under the general director of the organization Nikos Polyzos. The unions already have in their hands a draft for the organizational chart of the hospitals prepared by OKYPY. This draft was not sent to the nursing branch of PASYDY. As is well known, the industry has decided to refrain from the dialogue with the organization, while it is not ruled out that it will take other measures. On Friday, doctors and nurses go to the meeting with specific suggestions and asking for clarifications on the draft. For health professionals, the issue of the structures of the clinics is the key to the proper functioning of the state hospitals, hence they have been calling for a dialogue with the competent bodies for a long time so that this issue can be regulated.
The organization chart is expected to show the real needs that exist in the hospitals in terms of staffing, with the unions, as “P” is informed, not to lag behind the adoption of the guidelines that exist and are applied pan-European and international mainly. in terms of “sensitive” clinics and departments (TAEP, dialysis units, intensive care units, etc.). According to the same information, OKYPY proposes the ratio of one nurse and one person from the paramedical staff to one bed and one doctor to two beds. In this regard, the unions ask for specific clarifications as they consider the proposal vague and general. The nursing branch of PASYDY does not participate in the dialogue that is being conducted with OKYPY. For the meeting on Friday he has not been invited nor has he been sent the draft for the organization chart / structures of the hospitals. The president of the branch, Prodromos Argyridis, when asked about this by “P”, stated that the measure that the branch has decided to abstain from the dialogue remains in force. We requested, he said, a meeting from the Minister of Health Konstantinos Ioannou and we are waiting for its settlement, while the BoD did not rule out the possibility at the meeting. of the industry tomorrow Thursday to decide further reaction measures.
