On the top of Antarctica and specifically on Mount Vinson, the flag of the Republic of Cyprus will be placed today, Christmas Day.
After Kilimanjaro, Everest and other high peaks around the world, the Cypriot team, led by Cypriot national Yevgeny Starochelski, will place the country's flag on the coldest continent on Earth.
The mission is part of the national program “Cyprus Flag” Democracy at the highest peaks of the world”, which is under the auspices of the President of the Republic and the National Olympic Committee.
