The Cyprus Youth Organization expresses its unequivocal condemnation of the homophobic attack that occurred during an event of Accept LGBTQI Cyprus, at TEPAK.
Homophobic incidents like this are not consistent with the spirit and philosophy of the Youth Organization, nor do they have a place in universities, schools and our wider society.
As ONEK, we always promote equality, acceptance and respect, supporting in practice the work of Accept, for an inclusive society. Everyone without exception has the right to express themselves freely and enjoy the same rights.
As the main representative body of young people, we will continue to work to defend the rights of youth, without discrimination, with the aim of creating a society that respects and accepts diversity, in all its forms.
