The Deputy Ministry of Shipping announces the organization of Information Gatherings in all the provinces of Cyprus, which are aimed at secondary school students, parents and teachers, with the aim of providing holistic information on all matters related to the shipping industry and especially study options and employment prospects in the sector.

For the needs of the new campaign, a 16-member Mentoring Team was created of young scientists active in all aspects of Shipping, whose members come from various academic backgrounds, with the aim of promoting the multidimensional character of Shipping.

For this purpose, a relevant information sheet was prepared, which has already been distributed to every high school student, with the personal contact information of all members of the Guidance Group.  The students, in addition to the information gatherings, will be able to be informed at any time by the members of the Guidance Team, by contacting them directly.

This effort is supported by all the bodies that make up the maritime community of Cyprus, the Cyprus Chamber of Shipping, the Cyprus Shipowners' Association, the Maritime and Maritime Institute (CMMI) as well as the YoungShip and WISTA Organizations.  The organization of the gatherings is organized with the support and cooperation of the Vocational Education Advisory Service of the Ministry of Education and the Cyprus Youth Organization.
