A 41-year-old man, who is considered one of the organizers of a protest event that took place in Eleftherias Square, in Nicosia, is facing five charges.
According to the Police, about 50 cars gathered yesterday at the GSP and from there their owners marched to Eleftherias Square and Ledra and Onassagorou streets, shouted various slogans and around 18:30 they dispersed peacefully.
After a court warrant was obtained, members of the Force proceeded to search the home of a 41-year-old man, a resident of a village in Larnaca province.
A search of his home turned up and confiscated about one gram of cannabis and six ampoules containing anabolic steroids.
The 41-year-old was charged in writing and released to be summoned to a court later.
The suspect faces a total of five charges related to conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor, negligence in spreading life-threatening diseases, incitement to commit a criminal offense, illegal supply and possession of drugs and illicit substances, and illicit trafficking in illicit drugs in the Republic.
The case is being investigated by TAE Larnaca and YKAN (Larnaca District Ladder).
