The measures announced by the Minister of Finance were welcomed by the president of the Federation of the Association of Leisure Center Owners (OSIKA) Phytos Thrasyvoulou, adding, however, that they insist on extending the measures to restaurants.
In his statements, Mr. Thrasyvoulou also referred to the announcement of measures for the unvaccinated, noting that after the implementation of the measures for the unvaccinated, a sharp drop in turnover was recorded on a nationwide scale of up to 70%.
He added that the Federation of the Association of Leisure Center Owners, in consultation with the Ministry of Tourism, expects the support measures from the Recovery Fund to be such as, as he said, to enable companies to use them to upgrade their businesses.
Regarding the new Law on the operation of leisure and catering centers, Mr. Thrasyvoulou stated that it will be discussed next Monday with the Deputy Minister of Tourism. The goal is to come up with a Law that serves all categories of catering and entertainment, he concluded.
