Unfortunately, there are many dog owners who are irresponsible. Their behavior is judged to be leniently unacceptable, a fact that forced MPs to submit a bill to the plenary session of the Parliament yesterday in order to be punished with an extrajudicial fine. In particular, Kostis Efstathiou of EDEK and Alexandra Attalidou of Ecologists, with a joint draft law, propose the amendment of the Law on Dogs in order to make it a crime and to punish with extrajudicial fine € 100 the owner/owner of a dog that takes the dog out for be tied with a leash, which is attached to his collar, but also which fails to collect the dog feces from the ground.
