Great double for the Athianou team who won in Peristerona with 2-0
A very important double for Othellos, who beat Doxa 2-0 away from home in the tenth game. Scorers for the Athianou team were Popescu (68') and Brambia (92'). With this three points, Othellos reached six points and reduced its difference from the places leading to the stay to three points, while Doxa remained in last place without points.
First half
The game started with Othello's team having entered better and just in the first minute of the match they scored the first goal, which was actually a double.
The protagonist of the phase was Souto who found the left crossbar, while Siskowski then told him no. It is worth mentioning that the second chance came 20 minutes later, when the goalkeeper of the home team made an impressive save on Nardini's header.
In the 24th minute, it was Weslati's turn to see the Doxa goalkeeper respond negatively to his attempt. In the 35th minute we had another final for Othello again with Weslati, but without threatening Siskowski.
The first chance for Doxa was registered in the 36th minute with Nabi in a shot from outside the area, but the ball went over the posts.
2nd Half Othellos had the same start to the half as in the first and with the good morning… Souto tried to send the ball into the net but without succeeding. The two coaches did not stop for a minute to give instructions to their players, knowing how important the game is for their team.
Popescu three minutes after entering the game managed to find the net. After a mix-up in the Doxa area, he brought the ball down and sent it nicely into the net. Doxa wanted to, but could not, with the visitors controlling the match and in the 92nd minute shaping the final result with Brambia.
