The president of the People's Party (HP) Kutret Ozersai claimed that the Greek Cypriot side has started to create new difficulties at the crossing points for the "citizens" who come from Turkey.
According to the Press and Information Office, "Kipris Postasi" writes that in a post on his personal social media account, Ozersay claimed that Turkish passports or other documents began to be requested from Turkish citizens who for years were able to pass through the Republic-controlled areas by showing their marriage certificate with a person who is a citizen of the Republic. According to Ozersai, these documents also started not to be accepted, if they have been received from the "consulate" of Turkey in occupied Nicosia.
Mr. Ozersai argued that the "presidency" has the responsibility to act on this issue.
