Pandemic checks: 14 people were reported and one estate for non-compliance

In the last 24 hours, the Police proceeded with 14 complaints of citizens and a person in charge of a property, in the context of 2,540 inspections carried out throughout Cyprus, in order to verify the observance and implementation of the decrees of the Law on Infection.

According to a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters, 1,037 inspections were carried out in Nicosia, which resulted in 2 complaints of citizens and one person in charge of a property, and in Limassol, 192 inspections were carried out, out of which 3 complaints were filed by citizens.

In Larnaca 530 inspections were carried out and there were 2 complaints of citizens, in Paphos 128 inspections were carried out, from which 3 complaints of citizens emerged, in Famagusta 304 inspections were carried out and there were 4 complaints of citizens, while in Morfos area 219 inspections were carried out and there was no complaint.

Also, all over Cyprus, the Traffic Police carried out 127 inspections, without any complaint.

Also, there were no complaints in 3 inspections carried out by the Port and Maritime Police.

One property complaint concerned a cafeteria in Nicosia. A fine of 500 euros was imposed as the person in charge did not wear a mask.
