The post office started operating in the Municipality of Pano Lefkara, offering its services in the new facilities provided by the municipality, in the building where it will soon open its gates and the conference center of the mountain resort. The post office will serve the needs not only of the residents of Lefkara, but of the entire mountainous province of Larnaca, a constant request of the mountain communities that is finally being implemented. The Citizen Service Center is expected to operate in the same area next March, which will also serve the residents of all the mountain communities in the area. As a result, their suffering will cease, since until today the inhabitants of mountainous Larnaca were obliged to travel to the city of Larnaca in order to be served. The KEP staff is already being trained for this service. The mayor of Pano Lefkara, Sophocles Sophocles, told “P” that the Lefkara Conference Center, which will have a capacity of 400 people, is expected to be completed next month. The furnishing of the conference center has already started, which will be one of the most modern conference centers in Cyprus. This project is considered very important for the further development of the mountain resort of Larnaca province, as it is expected to contribute to the development of conference tourism, since in Lefkara it is planned in the future to host international conferences.
