Two people who were arrested on their departure from Paphos airport in connection with a case of forgery were detained.

According to the Police, on Friday at 11:00, a man of African origin presented a French identity card for departure. After examinations, it was found that the specific card is listed in the Interpol list as lost or stolen from September 15, 2015. He was then arrested for the self-inflicted crime of forgery and was transferred to the detention center of the Paphos Police Department, where he is being held.

Then yesterday at 11:30 a second person of African origin destined for France was presented at Paphos airport. He presented a French identity card which was suspected to have been forged, as it was finally established. He was subsequently arrested for impersonation and remanded in custody. The examinations are continued by the Paphos police department.
