The Paphos District Tourism Development and Promotion Company and a number of hoteliers in the city are once again participating, after a two-year absence due to the pandemic, in one of the most important and largest international tourism fairs in Europe, the World Travel Market (WTM) in London.
The province of Paphos participates this year in a landscaped exhibition space inside the stand of the State Ministry of Tourism, which has been granted by the State Ministry to ETAP free of charge.
The Paphos tourist kiosk is staffed by a partner, while printed and electronic promotional material of the destination is available for distribution.
An announcement by ETAP, however, notes that as expected, traffic from both business visitors and potential travelers is sluggish. However, the efforts of both hoteliers and others involved in the tourism industry do not stop, it is pointed out.
The English market continues to be the first priority tourist market for Paphos, which is why both tourism operators and businessmen attach great importance and interest. It seems that if the epidemiological situation normalizes in 2022, it could be a year of recovery of very important lost ground from the 2019 performance.
