The final construction plans for the two linear Parks of Paphos are ready, according to the Mayor of Paphos, Faidonas Faidonos, who published photos with digital representation of the project. The two linear parks will be created in an area of more than twelve kilometers on both streams-rivers, on the eastern and western borders of the Municipality of Paphos.
Mr. Phaedon described the project as of great importance and therefore appealed to the involved authorities and services for close cooperation and good coordination, so that the “maturation” of the project is completed soon and construction work begins.
According to the Mayor of Paphos, the creation of the two parks will stimulate the green in the urban and wider urban area of Paphos.
It is noted that the two parks were designed on the borders of the Municipality of Paphos with the Municipality of Geroskipou and Konia in the east and with the communities of Chloraka, Emba and Mesogi in the west. The eastern park will start from the area of the terminal junction of the Limassol – Paphos highway and will end in the area of Limnaria, in Kato Paphos.
The northwestern park will start from the area of the Lyceum of Agios Neophytos, will pass west of the Mouttalos District and will end in the area of Diplarkatzia, at the municipal boundaries of Paphos-Chlorakas.
As mentioned, the cost is estimated to be around seven million euros and in addition to cleaning the streams, which in some places are now inaccessible, sidewalks will be created and the streams will be turned not only into green lungs, but also into sports and promenades. for locals and foreigners.
