With detailed written letters to the Ministry of Finance and with representations to the highest political level, PASYDY, as the foremost trade union in the Public Sector, has in recent years submitted specific proposals for the salary increase of low-paid Public Servants who are in the combined scales A2- A5-A7(ii).
PASYDY dutifully wishes to urgently highlight the immediate need to address this serious issue and fully sympathizes with the escalating reactions of organized groups and social groups to the problems of punctuality and inflation that particularly affect low-paid employees.
Aware of the financial difficulties faced especially by colleagues in this category but also listening to their justified protests, PASYDY raised the problem for discussion at the level of the President of the Republic, in the presence of the Minister of Finance, and the results of the relevant processes are expected in a new meeting which will take place this month.
Concluding, PASYDY as the main trade union of the Public Sector, which can contribute decisively to finding a satisfactory solution to the whole matter, through constructive and honest dialogue with the competent bodies , expresses its understanding and undivided support to the affected colleagues. He assures them that he will remain by their side, until the necessary measures are launched to solve the problem with the aim of financial relief and improving their quality of life.
