After local assemblies in all public hospitals, the proposal of the Board of Directors for a 24-hour strike that will take place from 7:30 am has been supported and approved by PASYKI members. on May 11, until 7:30 am of May 12, it is stated in an announcement.
In the announcement it is added that the insurance uncertainty has been plaguing public hospitals and health professionals for about 4 years and that “the relevant State agencies, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance and the Legal Service do not provide public employees (permanent and indefinite) with the benefits recorded in the legislations, which were detached/transferred to the O.K.Y.Y., on the condition that they will maintain their obligations and rights”.
It is also stated that The O.K.Yp.Y has not determined the corresponding procedures, as was its obligation, for Doctors who are employed under contracts.
“Unfortunately, until today, the “repeated efforts of PA.SY.KI in all directions for a timely resolution of the issue have not met with a response,” the announcement concludes.
