Strong disappointment and dissatisfaction in relation to the statements of the Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry for the e-Cart, expresses the Pancypriot Retail Trade Association (PASYLE), even though it was not present at the last session of the Parliamentary Committee on the subject.
In a statement, the association states that instead of the Minister taking action and providing real, targeted solutions to consumers and businesses that are mainly affected by the cost of energy and fuel, “his only concern, which has become his obsession, is the creation of a Comparison Platform Prices of Consumer Goods”.
“It is with regret that we observe this hostile behavior of the Minister in a sector of the economy characterized by the most intense and sharp competition, which is to the benefit of consumers”, adds PASYLE.
He also notes that the change, as he states, of the position of the Competition Committee on the same bill, after a meeting they had with the relevant Ministry, creates concern, enormous concern and question marks from which “the everyone can draw their own conclusions”.
