The general director of PASYXE, Filokypros Rousounidis, mentioned the cancellations of reservations from Israel or other countries, due to the war in Israel. As he said, for the moment the cancellations are in a short range. He stated that this development is not favorable for the region, expressing the hope that it will not last for a long time.
Regarding the footprint of Israeli tourists on the Cypriot market, he said that after the removal of the Russian market, it is the second largest tourist flow, therefore, he stressed, is very important for Cyprus.
As Mr. Rousounidis noted, for several decades the Cypriot tourism industry has been facing crises – especially in the last three years they have been chained. And this, he underlined, shows its resilience.
